Heaven is for Real by Todd Burpo

Ok, I was really exciting reading this book. I'm a Catholic, so I was extremely interested in the supposedly true story of Colton, preacher's son, who almost died when he was just 4 years old. Miraculously he recovered and his parents were more than happy. The most compelling part of the story began when the boy starts to talk about Heaven, God, angels and other heavenly matters, which is both amazing but also a bit frightening at times. The reader cannot of course stop themselves from thinking that maybe the whole stroy is just a hoax since it's really hard to believe that a 4-year-old would actually talk about such serious things using such elaborate expressions like Colton did, no matter how great a believer you are. The book makes you THINK a lot about religion long after reading the book. Unfortunately, I was greatly disappointed when I found out (after runnig into an article on the Net), that the whole story was really a hoax.... The preacher made the thing up to become popular and earn money.... Well...that's confusing.... There is even an amazing movie based on this UNTRUE story... Despite the big lie, I would recommend it, if you need a moment of reflection :)
